Refund policy
Chaos by August — Return & Refund Policy
Last updated: 11 October 2025
1) Made-to-Order: No Returns or Exchanges
All Chaos by August products are made-to-order specifically for you. Because we don’t hold inventory and items are produced on demand, we do not accept returns or exchanges for reasons such as change of mind, ordering the wrong size/color, or buyer’s remorse. This approach is standard for print-on-demand (POD) production.
Tip: Please check our size guides and product details carefully before purchasing.
2) Defective, Damaged, or Misprinted Items
If your item arrives misprinted, damaged, or otherwise defective, you’re eligible for a free reprint or a refund as determined by our fulfillment partner, Printful. Claims must be submitted within 30 days of receiving the product (and within 30 days of the estimated delivery date for packages lost in transit).
How to file a claim (directly with Printful):
Email support@printful.com and include:
* your order number,
* a brief description of the issue, and
* clear photos showing the full item and the specific defect/damage.
Please CC: contact@chaosbyaugust.com so we can monitor resolution.
Printful will review your claim and, if approved, will issue a reprint or refund at no additional cost.
3) Lost-in-Transit Orders
If your order has not arrived, please report it within 30 days of the estimated delivery date. Printful will investigate and, if eligible, arrange a reprint or refund.
4) Non-Returnable Situations
The following are not eligible for return, refund, or exchange:
* Change of mind or dislike of the product.
* Wrong size ordered (please use our size charts).
* Orders with an invalid/insufficient address provided by the customer.
* Items that have been worn, washed, or altered after delivery (except to the extent needed for defect inspection).
5) EU/UK Consumers — Made-to-Order Exception
Under applicable consumer laws, the right to withdraw from distance contracts can be limited for custom-made or made-to-order goods. Because our products are produced only after you order, they typically fall under this exception; therefore, the standard 14-day withdrawal right does not apply unless required otherwise by mandatory law. (This does not affect your rights regarding defective goods.)
